I’m Brigétte. I sell Vintage, Contemporary, & Funky Finds. New to this way of reselling, I have been selling since The Pennysaver! Been a thrifter my entire life. The last 2 years I have sold on Facebook, but my eBay has been up since 2002. Also on instagram. I have 4 bio kids and 2 step, all are adults now. We have 9 grand babies. My husband & I live in the mountains of Northern California with our 23 yo son. We have chickens, dogs, & a cat. We both love to cook. I am also a mosaic artist.
Set of two Pot deCrème lidded cups. Pot de Crème OR Pot of Cream is what they would use for a rich, decadent, dessert. The lids kept the dessert warm and made it easier for “staff” to carry on a tray when serving. The pattern is a chinoiserie or a Dresden style floral spray. There is a blue stamp that is a J on a crest with a wreath, this is from Castel Limoges porcelain company. They were a very highly regarded company in the 20th century. It is said the meaning of the mark is that the porcelain clay body was sourced locally from the historic region of Lemoges. These are to be hand washed because it is either a painted or an over glazed decal, so handwashing is definitely recommended with just mild soap and warm water.
Now, I have a third one, there is a repair, if you are interested in this, I can show you pictures of the repair. It’s not that noticeable, but it is a piece that was broken on the edge and they repaired it. I’m not offering that one, but if it’s something that you want, I will throw it in. If you decide you want the third one please contact me because shipping rates are based on just the two. Please ask for any additional pictures of the repair and of the bottom with its stamp and Lemoges France mark.
